GALILEO MAGNETOMETER CRUISE EDR DATA, GO-SS-MAG-2-EDR-CRUISE-V1.0, NASA Planetary Data System, 1996 These data were originally archived in the following PDS3 data set: GO-SS-POS-6-SUMM-CRUISE-RTN-V1.0 (https://doi.org/10.17189/1519695). Collection Overview ================== This collection contains the Galileo spacecraft trajectory during the interplanetary cruise. The data have been derived from SPICE kernels at a 1 minute sample rate. The data are provided in RTN coordinates. Data Columns: time S/C event time (UT)given in the form yyy-mo-dayThh:mm:ss.sssZ R S/C radial distance from the sun LAT S/C solar east longitude(1950) LON S/C solar latitude Coordinate Systems ================== The Galileo trajectory are being archived in fixed heliocentric coordinates. The R component is the Sun->spacecraft range given in units of Au (149674000 km). LAT is the solar latitude given in units of degrees and measured from the ecliptic plane. LON is the solar east longitude measured from the First Point of Aries(1950). Data Processing: The SPICE SPK files used to derive this product are: GLL_LONG_2.BSP GLL910314.BSP GLL911107.BSP GLL921228.BSP Data Quality ============ The data have been derived from the Galileo SPICE kernels using well tested software from the SPICELIB and GLLSPICE subroutine libraries. Each data point is computed using S/C and planetary ephemerides computed at the time of the dataset sample (not interpolated).
