Cassini Magnetometer Calibrated Bundle - Errata              
                                                                                               
This file describes any known errors or deficiencies in the data collections within this

These data sets were originally archived under PDS3 in the COMAG_3001 COMAG_4001 and           
COMAG_4002 volumes.                                                                            
                                                                                               
During the migration from PDS3 to PDS4 the following issues were found and corrected in the    
PDS4 metadata.

This collection contained records of different lengths. The precision was also adjusted.

These data contain persistent noise signals at 0.2, 8, 16 Hz, and associated harmonics. This   
noise was not observed during ground testing of the instruments and is anticipated to be       
interference arising from the spacecraft. Removal of these signals is at the user's discretion.

There are errors in some of the Cassini MAG data in this bundle due to incorrect handling of   
leapseconds. The errors are as follows:

The time tags can be corrected by subtracting the error from current time values. This error   
was created during the conversion of the data from binary to ASCII performed at the PDS/PPI    
node. It does not exist in the original binary data files available from the Cassini MAG team. 
The PPI node will correct this error in it's data holdings at a future date.                   
                                                                                               
Data Timing Errors                                                                             
                                                                                               
Some PDS3 versions of these data were determined to contain timing errors, including both      
backwards and repeated times. Any timing errors that may be present in a data file are noted   
in the PDS label file that accompanies it. A full list of all files, and intervals containing  
timing errors is provided in the FGM_FULL_TIMING_ERRS.CSV.                                     
                                                                                               
Note that some of the instances reported as repeated times are actually time steps of >1 msec. 
These are well below the Cassini MAG instrument's highest data rate of 30 Hz.
